Several years ago, JD Gordon’s manager sent a copy of a single to a Toronto radio station, KX96. The song title was, “They Cut My Kid”. Jerry Archer and his beautiful partner Carolyn Ellis started playing the song on their morning show during “hockey week in Canada”.

In no time Canadian radio programmers were scrambling to obtain copies of JDs single as word spread to hockey parents across the country and requests flooded in. There was a real “buzz” around this new hockey song. In less than two weeks, the song sold thousands of copies over the internet.

The success was so sudden, that articles were done in several of Canada’s leading newspapers, such as; The Regina Leader Post, The Ottawa Citizen, The Vancouver Sun. (see testimonials)

JD puts it, “We were novices at the time. We had no real marketing plan whatsoever. We had never launched a CD before. As a matter of fact we’d never heard of a radio tracker and yet the song took off in spite of our ignorance.”

Since the release of the single They Cut My Kid, JD has released three albums; Breaking These Chains, Good To Be Alive and most recently On My Way to be released to stores in April 2007.
